Grasshopper New Media focuses on helping people use new media tools and methods to extend conversations out into communities. Sometimes, we call it “scratching a niche” — reaching into the smaller pockets of like-minded people that want to gather around a particular topic or interest. Other times, we want to reach as many people as we can, and expand the conversation through these new media tools.

Grasshopper is a virtual pre pre launch company. Virtual in that it’s not bricks and mortar, but the intent and the people are real.

The Founder
Grasshopper New Media was founded by Chris Brogan in 2006. His goal in creating the network is to use digital technologies to tell stories and start conversations. Grasshopper New Media creates podcasts, video podcasts, blogs, and other new media products for passionate niche markets, building audience through viral marketing and strong word-of-mouth efforts, and keeping them by providing consistent, quality content that both entertains and informs.
Chris Brogan is Founder and Chief Content Officer at Grasshopper New Media. His personal blog is [ chrisbrogan.com]. Chris lives in northern Massachusetts in a converted factory building, with a wife and two small children.
